About IEPIQ
Why we built it
Most parents walk into an IEP meeting outmatched — the school has a team that lives in this process every day, and the parent has love, instinct, and a stack of paperwork written in a language nobody explained. IEPIQ exists to help with that: to show a parent the passages in their child's IEP that relate to selected federal IDEA requirements, explain them in plain language, and suggest questions to bring to the table.
Built to show its work
IEPIQ shows its work. Each topic names the federal requirement it relates to and quotes the passages it located in your IEP, so you can read them in context. When it doesn't locate relevant text, it says so. It can still miss or misread a passage, and a missing passage may be a processing error rather than a missing provision — so check important points against your original IEP and with your team.
How we handle your child's information
Your child's information is the most sensitive thing you could hand a piece of software, so we try to keep as little of it as we can. IEPIQ doesn't ask for your child's name. When you upload an IEP, the names and other identifiers it detects are masked, and the original file is deleted after successful processing. Masking can miss information, and some processing copies and backups are kept for a limited time. Your IEP content is not used to train AI models, and you can delete your account from Settings; our Privacy Policy explains what deletion removes and what it keeps.
What IEPIQ is — and isn't
IEPIQ uses AI to help you locate and understand the passages in your IEP that relate to selected federal IDEA requirements (34 CFR § 300.320), and to prepare questions for your team. It does not determine legal compliance. It is not an assessment, evaluation, or diagnosis of your child, it is intended to provide general explanations, not legal advice, and it is never a replacement IEP. Consult a licensed attorney for legal decisions and a qualified professional for clinical decisions.

IEPIQ is built by Mindforge IQ LLC. We're a small team that believes the families who most need support in these rooms are the least likely to have it — and that careful software, which shows the passages it relies on, can help parents walk in prepared.
